Hazelmarie L. (Ackley) Carrabine

Hazelmarie L. Carrabine (Ackley), beloved wife of John (deceased); dearest mother of Mary Ola (Bob), Patty Catanese (Joe), John Michael (deceased), Jim (Laura), Sue Barresi (Mark) and Tim; devoted grandmother of 35; great-grandmother of 21; dear sister of Jim (deceased) (Maria), Tom (deceased), Walter (Paulette), Carol O’Donnell (Jim) and Joanne Gonzalez (Ray) (both deceased); aunt, great-aunt, friend and teacher to many. Hazelmarie taught 3rd grade at St. Paschal Baylon for 37 years. Her second love was John Carroll University, where her husband was a professor of Chemistry for 35 years.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Hazelmarie’s name to John Carroll University 1 John Carroll Blvd. University Heights, Oh 44118-4581 - checks can be made payable to the Dr. John A. Carrabine Computer Lab. Mass of Christian Burial Monday January 15, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St. Paschal Baylon (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment All Souls Cemetery. The family will receive friends at VICCHIARELLI FUNERAL HOME 5252 MAYFIELD RD. LYNDHURST (BETWEEN RICHMOND and BRAINARD) SUNDAY 2-5 P. M.
