Obituary
Marjorie E. “Marge” Strouse, 87, formerly of Macungie, PA and Leesburg, FL, passed away on August 30, 2023, in the presence of family in Arden Courts Memory Care, Chagrin Falls, OH. Daughter of Frank and Lillian (Gehris) Frederick, she was born in Wescosville, PA on June 12, 1937. On July 4, 1959, she married James D. Strouse. She is survived by daughter Kathleen (Martin) White of Twinsburg, OH; grandsons Nicholas (Kim) of Mentor, OH; Zachary (Katie) of Towson, MD; Timothy (Katie) of Broadview Heights, OH; and A.J. of Twinsburg, OH. She is also survived by brother Frank (Judy) Frederick of East Texas, PA. She was preceded in death by husband Jim and by sisters Carlene (Leroy) Haas and Shirley (Robert) Greenbaum; In-laws Robert (Betty) and Richard (Rita) Strouse and Jean Lokez (Tony) Derr (Harold).
Marge graduated from Allen High School, Class of 1955. She enjoyed a 33-year career at Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. beginning in the Broad Street, Emmaus office. She retired as an Executive Assistant in the Research & Development Dept., Trexlertown. She eagerly shared her passion and expertise for bingo, casino, and card games at every opportunity. Whether in Ocean City, MD, Leesburg, FL, or Northeast, OH, Marge consistently embraced and enriched the lives of those around her. But her love in life was her family – especially her grandsons (above) and great-grandchildren Emma, Jack, Drew, Julia, Annie, and Allison. She was a good Nana….and will be missed.
Interment will be next to her husband at a later date at the Florida National Cemetery. Memorials can be given in Marge’s name (for hospice care) to PromedicaFoundation, Attn. Arden Courts of Chagrin Falls, 8100 E. Washington St., Chagrin Falls, OH 44023.
