PATRICK MICHAEL CIRINO
Patrick was born on November 12, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio and died June 7, 2019 in Mentor, Ohio. He was the cherished husband of Susan (Massella); adored father of Annie (James), Patrick (Kerri), and Gina; devoted grandfather to Celia and Julian Aldom and Annabella Rose Cirino; dear brother of Eloise Finazzo (Marty) and Anna Marie Ferrato (Blaise); brother-in-law of Blaise Ferratto, Marty Finazzo, Ted and Carole Lauric, and Matt Massella; and uncle, godfather, mentor, and friend to many.
Patrick lived life to the fullest and inspired others to do the same. Those lucky enough to have known him were charmed by his eternal charisma.
In lieu of mourning his death, follow in Patrick’s footsteps by: ponder constellations from your rooftop; build a magical fort in your backyard; BE FULLY PRESENT; open your mind; give the benefit of the doubt; order a half rare and half burnt steak at a restaurant; wake your kids up at 3:00am to build a “snow”tempole; teach science experiments on Christmas morning; dress up as any of the following: Darth Vader, King Kong, the Godfather; Samurai Warrior, Santa Claus, or the Blob; read the dictionary to your grandkids; stay up all night philosophizing; write a book of poems; deep sea fish on the Gulf of Mexico; pull your kids out of school to travel together; design and build a cottage; captain a boat; serenade your friends; smoke a cigar; watch a thunderstorm; take a walk in the woods; and see the world through the eyes of a child.
Patrick was a charismatic teacher, a professional photographer, a lead singer in a band, a rib cooker extraordinaire, a business owner, and the commander of the Loony Pontoony. Patrick graduated from Collinwood High School in 1960, graduated from Ohio University in 1965 with a BS in Comprehensive Science, and was a student of geology.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday July 12th at the Concord Community Center, Auburn Rd. Concord, OH from 4-8pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to honor Patrick be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Association.
